Fun Ford Gainesville 2004
Fun Ford Weekend 2004 played out to be a learning experience for all those involved. In what was supposed to be a washed out weekend came winners, losers, and those who are still unsure of what actually took place!

The SilverFox made her first go at the competition, and I can actually say after Scott and the crew worked out the minor bugs, she ran very good for her first outing. I think if you took away the heating problems on Friday, the cam swap on Wednesday, and the fact that a test run could have been done, she would have performed a lot better!

But overall, the entire squad did very well. Scott Lagdon and the SilverFox placed 23rd overall in the True Street Division, which I think is excellent. Mike and his yellow notch ran much faster times, and too had issues on the eve of the event. Mike had switched to much larger slicks the week prior to the event, and found out during Friday's test and tune that he would need to install some adj. control arms in the rear due to the increased height of the tire. Well the crew at Mustang Motorsports worked well into the night Friday night and finished Mike's car. However, Greg's overheating problem never got fully resolved and was unable to run the event. So much for Project Frankenstang!

Eric Larson took top honors in the whole group when he won the 14 second class True Street Division. After finishing second last year, Eric was ready to win this year! Congratulations to Eric, and all that ran from Mustang Motorsports/Westside Mustang!
