Opening day at Gainesville proved
to filled with disappointments due the unseasonablely cool weather.
The first looks of dismay came
from the long line at the tech inspection. This line forced
many would be racers to sit it out for the day. Others
just hugged the grandstand and watched as countless racers
|
|
scurried about trying to make tuning changes to adapt to the cooler
than expected temperatures. North Florida's cold winter would attribute
itself to an unseasonably late start to the normal racing season,
just be thankfull it's not snowing I guess! |
|
The weekend was not completely lost, there
was progress back at home on the SilverFox thats been sitting
far too long. The rotating assembly is promised to be done by
the end of the month, which gives everyone about 4 weeks to build
an entire car.
Impossible? Nope. Probable? Definately
not!! There is always the Diablo class though, right Scotty! Anyway
the car should be started very soon, and depending on the man
hours we can devote, it shouldn't take too long to piece together.

Both Scott and I have taken the last week
in February off from work, just in case it's close, so we will
have to wait and see. It will definately be an interesting week
leading up to the first FFW of the year at Orlando March 1 and
2. We will be there regardless!!
If Scott doesn't get a chance to blow up
the motor in Orlando, you will definately want to be in Gainesville
in June!!
