Project Stroker

Well 2005 has witnessed the SilverFox dip well into the 11's, and is currently on it's 3rd tranny swap of the year. With all that excitement how is "Project Stroker" supposed to worked on? It has been hard, and very expensive, but progress is finally taking place. As of November 4, 2005 the motor and tranny are sitting in the car and the fuel system is scheduled to be done in the next few weeks.

Once the fuel system is in and buttoned up, the wiring will finish the major items on the car. Then some cosmetics on the interior and finalizing all the gauges will wrap up and allow for the motor to be fired, hopefully somewhere around the first of January 2006. Until then we will continue to update pictures and keep records of where the car is at.

One thing I want to do once we wrap up this project is add some pages to the tech area. I have had a very difficult time with bolt and thread pitches on this motor for some reason. The ARP kit I purchased had the wrong size water pump bolts, didn't have my motor mount bolts, and was lacking some other major ones such as the water pump pulley bolts that sent me scrambling back to the hardware store for. So I will be adding all these oddball size bolts to the tech pages to make life a little easier next time!
